The members of staff, students of the college and such other persons specially permitted by the Principal may use the library.
General information’s:
1. The library remains opened normally during college hours unless otherwise notified. It remains closed on Sundays and national holidays.
2. No book should be taken out of library without the knowledge of the Librarian and until it has been properly entered in the issue registers and entry signed by the borrower.
3. Each burrower must examine the condition of the books before they are issued to him.
4. Students should produce their Identity Cards at the time of issue of books.
5. The time allowed for burrowers is 14 days in case of students and one month in case of staffs. Students not returning books after 14 days will have to give fine at the rate of 10 paisa per extra day.
6. Members of teaching and non-teaching staff may take the book from library by signing the issue register. Students should produce their identity cards at the time of issue of library books.
7. Students shall not be allowed to retain books during summer vacation. The students are also required to refund the books before filling up of the application forms for examination.
8. Prescribed text books will be issued to lecturers only.
9. Any book lost, or damaged by a burrower will be replaced by him/her. If the book is rare or irreplaceable, the borrower must pay three times the cost of the catalogue price.
10. Certain books may be reserved by the Principal for exclusive use on recommendation.
11. No marginal or other notes or marking shall be made on the library books, nor shall any picture or page be removed or torn or disfigured. Students damaging any book in any manner will be penalised.
12. A book once issued to the borrower may be reissued to him only when nobody else wants to take the book. Books before being reissued should be presented before librarian for necessary entries in the register.
13. All the books must be returned at the time of stock verification.
14. The following is the list showing the maximum number of books that may be issued to the various classes of burrowers.
a. Teaching staff 15 books each
b. Demonstrators 05 books each
c. Librarian 05 books each
d. P.E.T. 05 books each
e. Ministerial staff 03 books each
f. Pass Students 02 books each
g. Hons. Students 03 books each
h. +2 students 01 books each
15. It is a serious offence to sign for another and borrow books in another’s name.
